The story of Mayflower

The Story of Mayflower, by David

It is history....so that means it really happened, and the people are real:
A long time ago, in 1620, some people from England (who is in Europe, you know???) became upset of their king, who was unfair, and decided to sail to America...
So, about 100 english, bought a ship, called Mayflower, and left England.
On the ocean, a storm came, and she ship went up and down the waves, but it didn't sink...
So they came to America...
They really like the new place...but soon they got hungry...
And the indians, people that lived in America at that time, because they were so nice, came and help the english to plant corn and pumpkins...
Nobody knows what they did with the pumpkins, but I think they made pumpkin pie!!!!

Question about history

So, we read about history for a while, and he likes it...We started with Ice Age...
And now David asks me:
-So, this is when history began, Ice Age?
-No, but is this when the first humans appeared...
-But where were the humans up to Ice Age??
-We belive that the humans developed from monkeys....they were called homo erectus...and then the homo sapiens, humans, descended...
-But, what was before Ice Age? How did they called that time?? If nodoby wrote about it, or draw about it, how do we know what happened???
I didn't had a good answer, so I changed the subject :D

After a few minutes David asks:
-So we descended from the monkeys?? Like the "trunk monkeys"?

Time

David is telling me about his day at school:

-Mom, today I have learned about times at school!!!
-Wow...nice...So now you should know what time is it?? So tell me, what time is it???
-Well...I don't know what time is it now, but 5 times 5 is 25, and 3 times 3 is 9....you want to hear more???

The End

He comes from school with a picture that he draw (i'm going to post it later) and explain it to me:
-This is going to happen in many, many years to come: An asteroid will come and it will hit Mars, and then the asteroid will be directed to Earth...and it will hit us, and that will be the end of Earth!!!!
-David...this is sad...how did you came with this ideea??
-Well...it could happen, right??? They keep on showing on Discovery...

Politics

A few days ago David had his debut in politics:
-Do you know that Barack Obama is going to win the elections??
-How do you know? Where did you hear about Obama ?? (mom and dad are not into politics :D) The vote is tomorrow anyway...
-Well, I know beacause they say it on the radio all the time...Obama president...and McCain doesn't understand!!!!
